New Jeep, Now What?
You just bought a Jeep Wrangler JL, brand new off the lot. That new car smell is intoxicating. The open air with the freedom panels off flows through your hair. Life doesn’t get much better. But then, you get home, pull into the garage, and turn around to admire your new purchase, only to find disappointment in that your new jeep doesn’t look nearly as cool as Ted’s lifted, mean-looking, badass jeep down the street. You begin to do research on the buildout for a cool Jeep like Ted’s, but soon start to realize that building your dream Jeep is going to take time and a whole lot more money. Suddenly, you start to feel sad that you can’t make that Jeep exactly what you want, because you aren’t willing to pay those prices.
I was in those same shoes with my first JK and now with my JL as well. The prices for all of the parts that I want to put on this Jeep are going to cost me a second mortgage, and I am just not ready to chew that off yet. But, I thought, there has to be some options out there for my JL that aren’t going to break the bank, but will at least start to get the ball rolling on my dream Jeep build. Sure, it won’t be a near rock crawler by the time you put these parts on, but it will look 1,000 times better than when you drove it off the lot.

“Seriously, with the rising gas prices, I was actually a little concerned about this! So instead of having my gas cap all exposed to wanna be thieves.. I decided to order this locking gas cap. Arrived quickly and I was able to install all on my own. Watched a video to see how to open that area in the back of the Jeep, and from there, the install was a breeze. It looks really cool. Comes w/ two keys. I keep one up in the window console thing and one on my key chain. Biggest adjustment is remembering to grab key before jumping out of the Jeep to fuel up. But I’m getting there! A nice, inexpensive ‘upgrade’ to the Jeep and w/ the flag detail, gives it a little something extra. Highly recommend!”
